This is a bit old, but it got me to win the Pulse New Talent Search, by Vision Sound Music (http://visionsoundmusic.com/2011/09/1755/). Apparently they should be hooking me up on a music video job, but I haven’t been easy to contact recently, need to catch up on the emails.

Anyways, chuffed,
Blaise

I am currently in the process of setting up a company called Stereo Graffiti with musician and web designer Sanjay Poyzer. I’ve mentioned this in earlier posts but now we’re really getting it off the ground. We will offer various design and media services to clients, as well as acting as an agency for other young creatives.

In other news, I’m working on an entry for the Observer Short Story Competition. Plus, tonight is the YCN Student Awards Ceremony, which I’m also taking Mr. Poyzer to in the hopes that we might pick up some work or partners!

I’ll let you know how it goes.

This week i went to a few exhibitions at the design festival, I went to a hellicar & Lewis exhibition and really enjoyed it, i think i would like to maybe work with them or interview them for my dissertation. my favourite exhibition was the cut it out exhibition…

I’ve been doing a little bit of animation and 3D modelling for the past few weeks.

I had my last day on the film production studio TRATOR (we had a nice barbecue leaving party) and will start another internship in AD production studio. AD is bigger and does both animation and film. I think I will learn a lot coz there are lots of pros on Cinema 4D and After Effects. They also have a recording studio within the house and the means of transportation from one room to another is a

SKATEBOARD! =D

Here’s what I’ve been up to:

This is a DNA structure that went into an animation, which was than applied in a video for a Tv commercial of CHEVROLET CRUZE (a car that’s coming out in Brazil now). I was gonna put the animation but I’ve just learnt I would have to pay to upgrade the blog so no..I wont do that.

This this which I forgot the name in English also went to the same series of commercials. It is a video mixed with animation (the thing falls in the head of a guy).

The bus stop and the hydrant are models for an animation which is part 2D and part 3D. It’s a short movie (house project) of MOL Toons.

I had to redo the hydrant because the first model I did was made in parts, put together like A + B. I had to do it again because for animation (things that need to move that is) you need a structure that is made from one original shape. Also if you need a close up, a structure (from one shape) is much more realistic and perfect.

I also was requested to make it look a little more like a cartoon.

I also went on a 5 day trip to Floripa and did a bit of sandboard and surfing…that’s why I forgot about updating the blogs.. =p

thats it from me. Got to run…

I was disappointed last week to be unsuccessful getting Karrie Fransman’s internship in comics after getting to the interview stage but congratulations to Susan for getting one of the places! Karrie was incredibly encouraging despite me not making the team and praised my application, so I thought I’d share a page of it here for you.

Artsadmin, who I did the month long summer school with, have contacted me to say that they were very impressed with me and would like to work with me on projects this year. It’s a vague invite at the moment, but I’ll be going in to have a chat with them some time in the next couple of weeks about it. It could be quite exciting!

That’s all my news at the moment, really. I’m still applying to internships but I currently have no home internet so job searching is a bit trickier than usual. I’d better spend more time in the LRC!

The list of Events HERE: http://www.whitechapelgallery.org/exhibitions/the-london-art-book-fair-2011/events

Booking is essential. I’ve booked 2 events, one of them is the talk from the Founder of The Museum of Everything, James Brett, feel free to join me.

Today I found out I got into the comic internship programme led by London Print Studio! I am super hyped up as I could not find an internship which ticks ALL the boxes for my DPS year out~! It’ll last for 6 months and I will be working/collaborating with another 4 interns.
I feel quite lucky as I found out that this is actually the last programme, as John Lyons Foundation only funded this project for 3 years, which I was not aware of~

Tomorrow, I will be doing an one off drawing event for the bag brand, Radley. This is the first time I have been classified as a fashion illustrator.

In the mean time, I’ll still be looking for more internships, freelance work, special events, conventions and push on with my self initiated project~

Hello all, been busy sending invitations..

A bunch of us put on a proposal for a 5-floor gallery space that will be renovated. A big job to make in a short period of time but please come check it out!

UNLASTED 23-30 Sept

Hanmi Gallery, Maple St, London

You are invited to come and experience the latest offering from new central London art space Hanmi Gallery, in a show entitled UNLASTED. 7 artists are using the whole space to explore the idea of ‘exhibition as experience’ in a show that promises the unconventional. The show will be an entirely frameless one apart from being within the physical structure of the gallery itself. This structure will be used to create narratives in a series of site-specific works inspired by the imaginary. Exploring a range of senses, the work will demonstrate the individual concerns of the artists involved, whilst also collaboratively putting into existence the ‘experience’ intended as the shows medium. UNLASTED aims to fulfil in its audience, a simple desire to be presented with new approaches within long established systems, and it wants you there to experience it.

Bowstock has now been and gone and my job for the Bubble Club is now over. They were very happy with my work in designing their posters and decorations and offered me some pay for all I’ve done.

In other news, I have an interview with London Print Studio for an internship in comic production on Tuesday! 10 applicants made it to the interview stage and there are 5 places. Wish me luck!
